The stars will descend on the Great Lawn of New York’s Central Park again this fall.
It was announced Thursday that Pearl Jam,Beyonce, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay will be the headliners at the fourth annual Global Citizen Festival, scheduled for September 26.
The benefit concert is aimed at raising awareness of the United Nations’ measures to fight inequality and extreme poverty and to protect the environment. The UN will announce new Global Goals to meet by 2030 in September.
The event is free, as is the tradition: To win tickets, fans can visit Global Citizen’s website and commit to taking “action” to help the world’s poor. The festival will be available to viewers worldwide through MSNBC, live streams by YouTube and Tidal, iHeart Radio, BBC Worldwide and a one-hour NBC special.
